The wood-cock purple is considered a high resistance to attack by wood decay organisms (decay fungi and termites wood-dried). It has low resistance to wood decay marine organisms.
It has low permeability to preservative solutions. The core is impervious to treatment with creosote and CCA-A in the same process under pressure.
